Privacy
What we collect. And where it goes.
Short version: nothing is stored on your device until you say yes, and the only personal details we hold are the ones you type into the booking form. One thing turns on where you are rather than on what you answer — outside the European Economic Area and the UK, a booking you make is reported to our advertising account either way, with your details scrambled first.

Before you answer the banner
No cookies are set. Nothing is written to your browser's storage except the record of a choice once you make one.
We do count the page view, through Vercel, our host. It uses no cookies and keeps no identifier that we could tie back to you — we see that a page was read, not who read it.
If you accept
Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_1BW3JKGS9L, and the Meta pixel sets _fbp. Meta's script also writes lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime to your browser's local storage.
These tell us which pages get read and whether our advertising brings anyone here. They are the ordinary analytics and advertising cookies those two companies use across many sites, and what they do with them is governed by their own policies, not ours.
If you decline
None of that is set, and nothing already set by us is kept. Google and Meta are told you declined, and the site works exactly as it would otherwise.
Declining covers your device and your browser, which is what the banner asks about. Whether it also covers a booking you go on to make turns on where you are: in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom it does, and nothing is sent. Elsewhere that booking is still reported to Meta from our server, and "If you book a call" below says exactly what goes.
What we store on your device ourselves
vetta.consent — your answer to the banner, so we stop asking. Kept until you clear your browser storage or change it.
vetta.attribution — the campaign parameters in the link you arrived on, if you arrived from an advert. Held for the tab only, and used to tell us which advert produced a booking.
vetta:scroll-to — which section of a page to scroll to. Held for the tab only.
If you book a call
We ask for your name, email address and phone number, and we record the time you chose. Two further questions — what kind of business you run, and the address of your current website — are yours to skip; whatever you answer is kept with the booking. If you arrived from an advert, the campaign is recorded with it.
The booking is stored with our other booking records, and two emails are sent: one to us, and a confirmation to you with a calendar invitation attached. We keep the most recent 2,000 bookings; older ones fall off as newer ones arrive.
We also tell Meta that a booking happened, from our server as well as from your browser. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom we do that only when you accepted the banner. Everywhere else, Egypt included, we do it whatever you answered: that question governs what is stored on your device and what your browser reports, and this report is neither — it is us telling our own advertising account that a booking we received is real. Either way, your email address and phone number are scrambled into a fingerprint before they leave us, so Meta can check that fingerprint against someone it already knows and cannot read your address or your number from it. We do not send your IP address. If you would rather we had not sent it, the last section on this page is how to ask us to have it deleted.
We do not keep your IP address. It is used for a few seconds to stop the form being used for spam, in a counter that expires within the hour, and it is written neither to the booking nor to our logs.
Vercel, like any host, records the address each request arrives from in its own server logs. That is theirs rather than ours, and kept under their retention, not ours.
We use these details to hold the call and to reply to you. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
If you ask us to call you back
The shorter form asks for two things: a name and a phone number. If you arrived from an advert, the campaign is recorded with them.
No email address is asked for, so none is stored. The request is kept with our booking records and emailed to us, and we use the number to call you about what you got in touch about — nothing else.
As with a booking: we tell Meta the request happened, with your number scrambled into a fingerprint first — only where you accepted, if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and whatever you answered elsewhere.
Who handles it
These companies process data on our behalf. All of them are outside Egypt, so your data is handled abroad.
- Vercel
- Hosts the site, and counts page views without cookies.
- Upstash
- Stores booking records.
- Resend
- Sends the booking emails.
- Analytics — only if you accept.
- Meta
- Advertising measurement. Cookies and anything reported by your browser only if you accept; outside the EEA and the UK, a booking is reported either way.
Changing your mind
You can change your answer at any time, and it takes effect immediately: declining means no cookies, no Google Analytics, and nothing reported to anyone from your browser. Whether it also stops us reporting a booking you go on to make turns on where you are — that is set out under "If you book a call" above.
Asking us anything
Write to info@vetta.systems and ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Vetta Digital Systems is responsible for the data described here.
